Monday October 27, 2014 – KTN’s screen siren, Sophie Wanuna on Monday shocked viewers when she used harsh words to describe former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s calls for a change of the country’s mode of governance.
Lately, Raila, who is also the CORD leader, has renewed calls for an overhaul of the country’s electoral and governance systems insisting that the current Presidential one was the source of the challenges facing the country.
Raila now wants the constitution amended to introduce a purely Parliamentary System of government that will see the re-introduction of the position of Prime Minister with Cabinet Secretaries being appointed from among members of Parliament.
But Wanuna who was hosting renowned lawyer Ambrose Weda and Mombasa Senator , Hassan Omar, said Raila wants a “Githeri type” of Government which is nowhere in the world.
The sultry presenter, also differed with Omar who had said Raila was coerced to support President Kibaki in 2002, saying Raila did it voluntary and he should not be bragging that he dropped his Presidential ambitions in favour of Kibaki.
