Unveiled alongside the HTC manufactured 8.9in Nexus 9, and the Nexus Player developed in collaboration with Asus, the sixth generation Nexus handset is already on pre-order for US users via Play Store. The handset is reported to have been sold out in the US within a few hours of being up for pre-orders.
Now Nexus fans in the UK can also place their pre-orders through Google Play Store. As the Play Store listing suggests, Google's flagship with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-loaded costs £499 for the 32GB version whereas by paying just another £50 you can get the 64GB model, priced at £549.
There is no mention of shipping date on the product page but just a note saying 'Coming Soon'.
While Google is keeping quiet about the availability of the Nexus 6, Mobile.co.uk, which is opening pre-orders from 18 November, confirmed that the new smartphone will be released on 1 December.
Meanwhile, Vodafone UK has blogged that the Nexus smartphone is coming to its stores 'soon.' Other retailers in the country are yet to announce their price deals and release details.
