Kenya Airways
Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko, has vowed to defend the Kenya Airways staff against any action initiated by Bungoma Senator, Moses Wetangula, who was thrown out of  a Mombasa bound KQ  flight on Thursday night for lack of identification documents .

Addressing a Press Conference in Nairobi on Friday, Sonko promised to defend the KQ staff saying that they were right to demand for proof of identification even from VIPs.

Sonko spoke as Wetangula threatened to introduce a motion in the Senate to discuss the conduct of the KQ staff and decide on any future engagement with the national carrier.

“The humiliation and embarrassment I was subjected to at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport last night in the presence of two Speakers did not augur well with my colleagues present who have vowed to move a motion of adjournment next Tuesday to discuss the misconduct of the KQ staff,” Wetangula said in a statement on Friday morning.

But Sonko dared Wetangula to table the motion and said he will marshal Jubilee Senators to reject it.

He urged Wetangula to respect the law because nobody in Kenya is above the law.
